Age Categories and Restriction
42.2km - Athletes must be 20 years and older
10km - Athletes must be 15 years and older
5km - Athletes must be 9 years and older
Junior (age 15-19) will be according to IAAF rules. The athlete must be 19 years or younger on 31 December 2009 (born in 1990 or later). Athletes may enter only one age category and may only qualify for prizes in the category in which they are entered, plus the open category. All age category runners including juniors must wear the relevant age category tags on their front and back in order to qualify for awards. Proof of age is required for age category prizes

Cut off Times
The cut-off time for the 42.2km and 10km Walk will be 12H30
The cut-off time for the silver medals in the 42.2km is 3h20m (men) and 3h45m (women)

Seconding
No seconding permitted. NB - no vehicles permitted on any of the routes

Seeding
Athletes will be seeded according to the qualifying time stated on their entry form. No changes will be permitted and no correspondence will be entered into. Athletes should provide their personal best time since January 2009 for the distance entered (10km or 42.2km)

General
. The race will be run according to the rules of IAAF and ASA
. Athletes do not need to belong to a club to participate
. All foreign athletes must comply with IAAF rule 142.2 and 4.2. Foreign athletes must be able to produce a letter from their respective federation permitting participation on race day
. No advertising in the form of tattoos, or any other form, will be permitted to be displayed by athletes-other than that of the official club vest or the event race number
. All traffic officers and marshals must be obeyed
. The race organisers reserve the right to accept or reject an entry
.Strictly no entries will be taken on race day except for the 5km Fun Run
. ATHLETICS SA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCOMMODATING ATHLETES
. Athletes are advised to arrange their own accommodation
.The entry fee is non-refundable
. Tog bag facilities and toilets will be available

Route
All routes take place entirely on tarred roads and any athlete found leaving the road, cutting corners, running on paths or out of the demarcated areas will face disqualification not only for prizes but also for all finisher's awards and placing in the final results.
