The LIFEGAIN WALLY HAYWARD MARATHON will be supporting 6 charities in 2012.
The charities will be making a special effort to ensure that the 2012 LIFEGAIN Wally Hayward Marathon will be an event that the whole family can enjoy - with a 1KM race for the Kiddies, a supervised Kiddies Entertainment area where you will be able to safely leave your kiddies while you participate in one of the events, and also a Family Entertainment area with fun for the whole family.
SUPERVISED CHILDREN'S ENTERTAINMENT AREA
Child Welfare, Tshwane will be organising a supervised Children's entertainment area, for children from 3 years to 10 years of age, with Clowns, including Gerard and RD the clowns with a special kiddies comedy Magic show, Balloon sculptures, Face Painting , stilt walkers, puppet shows and Jumping Castles.
Parents will just need to purchase a plastic hospital identity bracelet for each child for only R 26 for the entertainment for your kiddies between 05h30 and 11h30 on the morning of 1 May 2012.
You can pay for this together with your race entry - or you can even only pay for the Kiddies entertainment, without having to enter any of the races.
FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT AREA
There will also be an adjacent entertainment area for older children, teens and parents - including a singer, climbing wall and rides not suitable for young kiddies.
Donations can be made to the charities - either individually or collectively, to be shared equally amongst all 6 charities, - together with your on-line race entry - or you can even make a donation without entering any event.

Cause Marketing Fundraisers (CMF) is a non-profit organisation and, through our PinkDrive campaign, we are committed to improving breast cancer awareness, education, and providing and offering services to women across South Africa, particularly to those who do not have access to information on breast health. We currently have two mobile breast units, an education unit working in approximately 80 community health centers in Gauteng and a mammography unit, which operates at 3 community health centers in the Cape Town area, under the Tygerberg Hospital jurisdiction.
We aim to:
provide affordable, convenient mammography services to women in the private and corporate sectors; and
provide free scanning and education to disadvantaged communities via local clinics, community health centres and specified hospitals with no oncology facilities.
